Brian Hartzell
On June 8, 2009, the rabbit community lost another well respected ARBA Judge, Brian L. Hartzell, age 31 of Fletcher, Ohio.

Brian was a 1995 graduate of Piqua High School, obtained his Bachelor's Degree from the Ohio State University and earned his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Blufton College. He was employed as a Call Center Director at the Cincinnati office of Defender Direct Company. During high school he was active in the 4-H club where he showed rabbits and cattle. This interest continued in his adult life as he was designated a Rabbit Judge in 1999 through the American Rabbit Breeders Association. Locally he served as a rabbit advisor and served as President of the Miami County Rabbit Advisors. His love for and development of rabbit breeding has earned him the distinction of being one of the top breeders of American Fuzzy Lops and Jersey Woolies, both nationally and internationally. He has been recognized as a well respected Judge and Breeder, globally, for several years.

Wallace House
The 2010 Ohio State Convention is dedicated to Wallace House. Better known as Wally, he passed away February 5, 2010. Wally was a past Distinguised Service Award winner at the 2009 Ohio State Rabbit Breeders Convention. He will be missed as he helped in many ways or the setting up and tearing down of our State Convention show. As a Columbus area person he bailed us out many times to run errands and get needed supplies.

Wally serverd on the equipment committee and helped bail out National ARBA Conventions with his checking on our semi trailers. The House family has been active in the Ohio Mini Lop Club and it is filling to have the Natonal Mini Lop Show here at the 2010 "mini convention".

Wally has been active as adviser with the Franklin County Fair and helped promote the rabbit show on the 4-H Advisory Board. He was an assistant scout leader with the boy scouts. We most remember Wally as active memeber of the OSRBA and his help to put on the crown jewel show in the state of Ohio.
