The Ohio State Rabbit Breeders Association was founded in 1925 and is dedicated to promotion, development, and improvement of domestic rabbits and cavies. The club is formed with member all breed and specialty clubs with the same goals. Membership in these clubs gains their members a membership in the OSRBA. Only members have a chance to complete in our sweepstakes. Only member clubs points count toward the sweepstakes. We offer reduced rates for ur member clubs on the cooping at OSRBA “Mini Convention”, catalog ads, booths, and a free update advertisement. Our members receive an Update newsletter with the latest information on the OSRBA.
Please check with Lisa Huffmann and Renee’ Burns to complete in our youth activities. Youth can enjoy the royalty contest, judging contests, poster, photo, scholarship, and many more contests. The youth end up with a very busy weekend in additional to the showing of their rabbits or cavies.
We have a large number of National Shows scheduled along with many state, regional, and OSRBA sponsored shows. Please check web site for additional information as we get closer to the show date. Catalogs should be out the middle to late March and catalog will be available to download off the web site. We will add information for National shows on the web site if provided by hosting club. Again you need to book rooms early to get into our headquarter hotel Ramada Plaza and additional hotel the Baymont Inn and Suites. This information is available on “Mini Convention page”.
We need volunteers help for scholarship table, 50-50%, promotion sales, and office help. As always we need help setting up and tearing down the cooping. We are starting this on Wednesday instead of the normal on Monday to save building costs, since the lost of the state grant. Volunteer are needed to get coops set up before people and rabbits arrive at noon on Friday. I am working it out that we will have two shifts working to get the setup done and this allows people to work some hours after getting off work. Please contact me 330-234-2444 or any of our board members
As some know we have looked at another site for 2011 and later OSRBA Conventions, after we lost the state grant money. Please members check the “mini convention” 2011 web page for comparisons of sites. Voting will take place with our executive board and member clubs.
Thank you in advance for your help in the OSRBA State Convention Show.
