I am Bonnie Saunier. I share our house with Eric (husband), Rachel and Dan (kids) and Scooter (very spoiled Rat terrier)

 

My involvement with rabbits started with a pet rabbit for the kids. Rachel then started 4-H with a rabbit project and it exploded from there (having over 300 rabbits at times). The barn currently contains New Zealand, Californian, and Silver Marten. At one time or another we also had Dutch, Polish, Florida White, Tan, Satin, Silver Fox and Mini Rex.

 

The kids have had many accomplishments while showing youth. They had Best of Group in Wichita, KS with a Silver Marten. They have had many Grand and Reserve Champion Meat pens at the fair, along with Best in Shows throughout the years. We now show as a family in Open and have had a few Best

in Shows.

 

My involvement goes deeper than showing rabbits with the family. I am current the President of the Silver Marten Club and Vice President of the Ohio Silver Marten Club. I am a member of several clubs and serve as a show secretary. I have served as Club Secretary, director, District 8 reporter. My duties with OSRBA include: Director at Large, Open Show Secretary, Catalog committee, and Youth sweepstakes. I started out slowly and someone seemed to think I could handle another position or larger position and of course I have a hard time telling them “no”. But I am getting better!!
