 Harry Rice - April 8, 2010

Harry Rice, an OSRBA Hall of Fame Member, passed away on April 8, 2010. In addition to OSRBA, Harry was an ARBA Hall of Fame member and an icon of the rabbit world. Harry became a member of ARBA in 1938 and received his judge's license in 1940. He was the oldest living member and judge of ARBA who just celebrated his 92nd birthday.

 Barb Butler - March 22, 2010

In 1991, Barb and husband Al become members of the OSRBA Hall of Fame.

Barbara was a life member of the Dutch Club, the Belgian Hare Club, the American Cavy Breeders Association, and the Stark County Rabbit and Cavy Breeders. She had been a 4-H Advisor for 20 years and a Judge for the American Rabbit Breeders Association for 28 years.

As many say, Barb was extremely helpful to those starting out in rabbits or cavies with her willingness to teach others.

 Wally House - February 5, 2010

Wally was a past Distinguised Service Award winner at the 2009 Ohio State Rabbit Breeders Convention. He will be missed   as he helped in many ways with the setting up and tearing down of our State Convention show. As a Columbus area person he bailed us out many times to run errands and get needed supplies. Wally servered on the equipment committee and helped bail out National ARBA Conventions with his checking on our semi trailers.

Wally has been active as adviser with the Franklin County Fair and helped promote the rabbit show on the 4-H Advisory Board. He was an assistant scout leader with the boy scouts. We most remember Wally as active memeber of the OSRBA and his help to put on the crown jewel show in the state of Ohio. The 2010 Mini Convention is in dedication to Wally and Brian Hartzell.

Brian Hartzell- June 8, 2009

He was employed as a Call Center Director at the Cincinnati office of Defender Direct Company. During high school he was active in the 4-H club where he showed rabbits and cattle. This interest continued in his adult life as he was designated a Rabbit Judge in 1999 through the American Rabbit Breeders Association. Locally he served as a rabbit advisor and served as President of the Miami County Rabbit Advisors. His love for and development of rabbit breeding has earned him the distinction of being one of the top breeders of American Fuzzy Lops and Jersey Woolies, both nationally and internationally. He has been recognized as a well respected Judge and Breeder, globally, for several years.  The 2010 Mini Convention is in dedication to Brian and Wally House.
